Zuni Mountain Lodge & Tours
Western New Mexico
New Mexico is truly the "land of enchantment!" From fossilized palm trees, ancient Indian ruins and early Spanish colonias to the modern pueblos, art fairs, balloon fests and rodeos, we have it. All of our state is spectacular, but our west-central region is truly special. Whether coming to visit the oldest Indian communities, viewing ceremonies at the nation's largest Indian tribe or shopping for fine jewelry, arts and crafts, this is the area to see!

Central to the region is the Zuni Mountain range, just east of Gallup and south of the Red Rock formations at Thoreau on I-40. The largest portion of the Zuni Mountains is Cibola National Forest -- 360,000 acres of pristine wilderness. Rugged mountains, dense pinon forests and remote trails provide a treasure trove for hikers and mountain bikers. Some areas are easily accessible by car, so that wilderness camping and picnicking are perfect pastimes.

Just imagine! The last stopping off place before entering this wilderness is here at Bluewater Lake. Nestled in a high mountain valley at 7600 ft., the lake is not only beautiful, but provides year-round water sports and activities. On the nearby mountainside overlooking the lake is ZUNI MOUNTAIN LODGE with all the comforts of home. Truly modern living in the wilderness!
